April 2025 means that SF Space Week celebrating 4/20 drew industry insiders from around the Bay and featured two amazing art shows in different locations.

The Haight Street Art Center hosted one of Space Week's opening parties on April 13 and the turnout included a joyful array of cannabis art enthusiasts.

Before entering the Art Center, freshly drawn chalk art directs arrows south of the entrance doors to the Space Garden. The chalk art continues west informing attendees of the designated Smoke Zone. Inside, dozens of framed art pieces hung from freshly painted white walls in a large, light filled gallery. Pedestals placed throughout the high ceiling gallery display fragrant potted cannabis plants as well as foot long colas encased in airtight containers.

@Me co-founder Alex had the great fortune of being mounted on the east wall of the gallery, providing plentiful sunlight from the southern windows. Down below the windows laid a courtyard filled with even more Space Week attendees gathering around brand tents and vibing along with the DJ in the Space Garden.

Down the hallway from Alex's art even more artists pieces hung throughout the Haight Street Art Center walls including classic and glam rock music posters. Walking upstairs to the second level, the upper gallery hall lit with ceiling black lights emphasized the neon posters on display.

One particularly memorable poster from Sonoma Hills Farm depicts an intricate Pink Jesus perched atop oversized fluorescent pink strawberries.

Returning to the main lower gallery, Sonoma Hills Farm offers Pink Jesus inspired strawberry ice cream topped with a sizable chunk of red velvet from renowned local favorite, Hot Cookie.

Set up along the western wall of the sunlit gallery, Tina Gordon from Moon Made Farms chats with intriguing animation about the sungrown cannabis she grows at her Humboldt farm. Large mason jars filled with Tina's phenomenal flower sit on a table while Tina's friend rolls joints to share.

Outside in the Smoke Zone, a local Bay Area artist named Lily Cole from San Jose sings along with her dad's acoustic guitar, entertaining folks gathered in the chalk smoke rings drawn on the sidewalk. People pass joints around small groups, chatting and occasionally singing along with the live music. It's always worth checking out art events, especially when entrance continues to remain free like at Haight Street Art Center.

Meanwhile over in Oakland on 4/19, Root'd in the 510 hosted local artists displayed throughout their consumption lounge. Several of Alexe's framed metallic photo paper prints hang from the lounge entrance hall walls. Vendors offer food, artisan handmade jewelry, and more. Brands like Muse chat with folks in the lounge while other people gather on the couches lighting up various delights. As a special note, Root'd in the 510 offers their lounge to local community members, specifically seniors, to have a safe space for comfortable consumption. It's a joy to see their admirable commitment to vulnerable patients in need of cannabis.

That's another 4/20 Space Week enjoyed here in the Bay. Looking forward to seeing what next year's Space Week brings. Buy local art and support local artists!
